Heritage Craft Festivals

INTACH encourages the general public to curb the loss of heritage by creating awareness and appreciation amongst them. Creating Heritage awareness shows INTACH’s commitment to stimulate and engage as many people as possible in understanding the long-term value of our unparalleled heritage legacy and to conserve it as a resource from which economic activities can be created. Craft support and intervention projects showcasing the beauty, richness, relevance and value of our inheritance form an integral part of the conservation drive to transform our unique cultural legacy into an economic force. A Heritage fair embodies the spirit that runs through the people of India and its rich culture.

I. Crafts Utsav
On the occasion of the Foundation Day INTACH on 30th January 2018 the Heritage Craft & Community Division organized CRAFT UTSAV to pay a tribute to our rich craft traditions. The exhibition highlights the creative spirit of the crafts people who embellish fabrics with exquisite prints and delicate embroideries; who transform simple clay into objects of superb beauty.
